How to Obtain Gear in Legion Remix

Gear in WoW Remix: Legion drops from almost every activity:

• All mobs – from common enemies to raid bosses.

• Cache of Infinite Treasure earned from quests.

• World & treasure chests.

• Dungeons and raids.

Item quality caps:

• Uncommon – up to iLvl 571.

• Rare – up to iLvl 578.

• Epic – up to iLvl 584+ (end-game sources scale much higher).

Scaling Epic Gear

Epic items automatically scale about +5–6 iLvl above your current average item level (rounded up). Endgame sources can reach iLvl 740, including:

• Cache of Infinite Power from Infinite Research daily quests/dungeon queues.

• All Legion raids.

• Combining 10 × Mote of a Broken Time (see below).

• Mythic+ end-of-dungeon chests.

Motes of a Broken Time (Your Key to 740 iLvl)

At level 80 you start looting Mote of a Broken Time. Combine 10 to create a guaranteed piece of gear at your highest current item level (up to 740). Drop sources:

• 1–2 per Cache of Infinite Treasure.

• 0–1 from Empowered mobs in Heroic World Tier.

• 0–2 from Rare mobs in Heroic World Tier.

• Dungeon bosses: 0–1 Normal, 0–2 Heroic, 2 Mythic.

• Mythic+: 1–2 per completion at any key.

• Raid bosses: 2 Normal, 3 Heroic, 4 Mythic.

Mythic+ Gear in Legion Remix

Every group member receives a piece of loot at the end of a Remix Mythic+. Gear scales up to iLvl 740, but the item level is tied to the key level rather than your average item level. Current PTR numbers:

Can You Upgrade Gear?

No. In Remix: Legion all gear drops at its set item level and cannot be upgraded. Bronze is purely for cosmetic rewards (see our Legion Remix Rewards Guide).

Armor Stats in Legion Remix

Armor has flat percentages of secondary stats instead of ratings. The 9 armor slots follow fixed rules:

• Helms, Shoulders, Cloaks – Mastery

• Chests, Wrists, Gloves – Critical Strike

• Belts, Legs, Boots – Haste

Versatility only comes from your Artifact Weapon’s Limits Unbound trait.

Item quality tiers:

• Uncommon – small primary/secondary stats.

• Rare – larger stats.

• Epic – larger stats plus guaranteed tertiary stat (Speed, Avoidance or Leech).

Jewelry & Trinkets: Free Artifact Talents

Unlike MoP Remix, jewelry starts dropping at level 20. At level 80, daily quest Make Haste, Not Waste from Lidamorrutu at the Infinite Bazaar gives a free random Epic jewelry piece at your highest iLvl.

• Uncommon jewelry – +1 Artifact Weapon talent rank.

• Rare jewelry – +2 ranks.

• Epic jewelry – +3 ranks.

This lets you combine Artifact talents from multiple trees for powerful hybrid builds. Rings are Unique-Equipped, so the max boost is usually four extra ranks across three slots.

Scrapping Items in Legion Remix
