Shadowlands Campaigns

The Shadowlands campaign is split across three major storylines — the 8-chapter Covenant Campaign, the Chains of Domination campaign in Patch 9.1, and the Secrets of the First Ones campaign in Patch 9.2. Progress is tightly tied to the Renown system, meaning the story can't simply be rushed — chapters unlock gradually as your covenant standing increases.

• Renown-Gated Chapters — Covenant campaign chapters unlock at Renown 5, 8, 11, 13, 17, 20, and 22 — with later Chains of Domination and Zereth Mortis chapters gated even higher

• Flying Unlock — Completing campaign progress is required to unlock flying in Shadowlands zones

• Covenant Mounts — Each covenant grants a themed mount, pet, transmog set, and back-attachment cloak — plus four variants of a covenant-exclusive flying mount added in Patch 9.1

• Soulbinds & Conduits — Campaign and Renown progress unlocks Soulbinds and the Enhanced Conduit system tied to your covenant

• Legendary Recipes — Renown progress unlocks Legendary recipes from the Runecarver in Torghast

• Renown Catch-Up — Renown is now heavily accelerated through level 60, making full campaign completion far faster than at launch
