Lumber is the universal crafting material of the housing system — required by almost every decor recipe across every profession, including items that have no logical reason to contain wood. It's gathered with a neighborhood axe rather than a gathering profession, so it doesn't compete with your two profession slots.

• One Type Per Expansion — Each expansion has exactly one lumber type — Ardan Lumber, Dornic Fir, Dragonpine, Coldwind, Bamboo, Shadowmoon and others — and they cannot be substituted, since recipes demand wood matching their era

• Unlock Quest Per Character — Gathering requires completing the unlock quest on each character that will harvest, which we handle as part of the service

• Slow By Design — Nodes appear as a golden axe embedded in a tree and yield 1 to 3 lumber, most often just 1 — the reason bulk farming eats so many hours

• Found in Odd Places — Treeless zones still have lumber: Khaz Algar's Dornic Fir grows on the mushrooms and flowers of Azj-Kahet, not only on Hallowfall's trees

• Era Reagents Too — Decor recipes also need period materials like Trillium, Spirit of Harmony, Demonsteel, Osmenite, Khaz'gorite, or Serevite — we gather these alongside the lumber

• Bound Material — Lumber is treated as character or Warband-bound rather than freely tradable, and Public Crafting Orders require the buyer to supply it — so this service is performed on your account rather than delivered by mail

• Feeds House Level — Crafting new unique decor pieces also grants House XP, so a lumber farm feeds your house level progression at the same time
