Kah, Legend of the Deep | The Derby Dash

Kah, Legend of the Deep is an account-wide flying mount added in Patch 11.0.2, awarded by The Derby Dash achievement tied to the Mereldar Fishing Derby (also called the Hallowfall Fishing Derby). The event runs once weekly on Saturdays — so a missed or failed attempt means waiting a full week for another shot.

• 20 Fish Under Timer — The Derby Dash requires catching 4 common, 10 uncommon, and 6 rare fish across all of Khaz Algar while the 60-minute Derby Dasher buff from Captain Oathmyt is active

• Account-Wide & Not One-Shot — The achievement is account-wide and does not need to be finished in a single attempt — caught fish stay credited across multiple Saturdays

• Fishing Skill Gate — The rare Awoken Coelacanth needs at least 300 fishing skill, perception buffs, and the Whispers of the Deep buff to catch reliably

• Buff Prep — Ghoulfish Delight from Captain Oathmyt adds 75 fishing skill and 150 perception for an hour, dramatically improving catch rates

• Mereldar Derby Marks — Each derby quest also awards 25 Mereldar Derby Marks, spent on transmog and cosmetics — a bonus alongside the mount

• Permanent Fishing Buff — Completing The Derby Dash also grants a permanent fishing buff, a lasting quality-of-life perk

1. Provide a level 80 character — optional fishing skill farm to 300 available as an add-on for the Awoken Coelacanth

2. Our angler preps buffs — Ghoulfish Delight for skill and perception, plus Whispering Stargazers for the Whispers of the Deep buff

3. On Saturday, we grab the Derby Dasher buff from Captain Oathmyt and begin the 60-minute run

4. All 20 Algari fish are caught across Khaz Algar zones — carried over multiple Saturdays if needed since progress is account-wide

5. The Derby Dash completes, awarding Kah, Legend of the Deep and the permanent fishing buff
