Midnight reworked profession progression around tighter quality tiers, stronger specialization lock-ins, and a new profession-specific currency. • Two-Layer Progression — Base skill climbs quickly through first-craft bonuses and trainer recipes, but stalls around skill 50–60 when standard recipes grey out; from there, progress runs on Moxie-purchased recipes and specialization nodes

• Knowledge Points Are the Bottleneck — One-time sources bank a large chunk fast (8 profession treasures across Eversong Woods, Zul'Aman, Harandar, and Voidstorm at 3 KP each), but ongoing gains are roughly 19 per week from the weekly profession quest, Thalassian Treatise, and weekly treasure drops — with no catch-up mechanic

• Renown Knowledge Books — Each profession has a 10-point book from its faction (The Singularity, Silvermoon Court, Hara'ti, or Amani Tribe), costing 75 Artisan's Moxie and 750 Voidlight Marl at the required Renown rank — we can farm the reputation as an add-on

• Moxie Is Profession-Specific — Unlike The War Within's Artisan's Acuity, Moxie is earned and spent per profession — Alchemy Moxie can't fund Tailoring recipes, which matters if you're ordering multiple professions

• Two Reagent Ranks — Bronze quality is gone; reagents and consumables now come in Silver and Gold only, so every craft lands at Silver minimum and Concentration pushes it to Gold

• Epic Profession Gear — All professions now access epic-quality profession equipment, giving the same skill bonus as rare gear but higher secondary stats

• Specializations Matter — High-end epic recipes are locked behind specialization nodes, so knowledge has to be spent deliberately — we'll plan the tree around what you actually want to craft

• Darkmoon Faire Bonus — When the Faire is active, each profession has a short quest worth 2 skill points and 3 Knowledge Points, which we time for maximum value
