Nether-Swept Drake Mount Boost

The Nether-Swept Drake is a void-touched nether drake added in Patch 12.0 — but its model has sat unused in the game files since Burning Crusade, carrying mount ID 16, one of the oldest in WoW. Midnight is the first time it can actually be earned, exclusively through fishing.

• Fished as an Egg, Not the Mount — You don't catch the mount directly; you rarely pull a Nether-Warped Egg, which hatches into the Nether-Swept Drake after a 7-day timer

• Voidstorm Focus, But Not Exclusive — The tooltip points to Voidstorm open water (such as Slayer's Rise), but players have pulled the egg from Patient Treasure chests while fishing in other Midnight zones too — Voidstorm remains the intended, most reliable source

• Zone Unlock Required — Voidstorm must be opened first via the No Fear of the Dark quest from Magister Umbric in Silvermoon City

• Genuinely Rare — The drop rate is extremely low with no bad-luck protection, making the timeline pure RNG — this is the honest reason a farmed-until-it-drops service exists

• Angler's Anomaly Trick — The Angler's Anomaly item can create an Oceanic Vortex to concentrate Voidstorm fishing, which our team uses to maximize casts per hour

1. Provide a level 90 character with Fishing available — Voidstorm unlock (No Fear of the Dark) available as an add-on if needed

2. Our team fishes Voidstorm's open water, using an Angler's Anomaly Oceanic Vortex to maximize efficient casts

3. Fishing continues through Patient Treasure chest pulls until a Nether-Warped Egg drops

4. The egg is secured on your account, then hatches into the Nether-Swept Drake after its 7-day timer

5. All fish, treasure loot, transmog, and gold earned during the sessions stay on your account

Because the egg is an extremely low-chance pull with no bad-luck protection, the timeline is pure RNG — we won't pretend it's instant. Our team fishes until the egg is secured, and you'll have the drake once the 7-day hatch completes. We confirm the egg is on your account before signing off.
