The Time-Lost Proto-Drake Mount Boost

The Time-Lost Proto-Drake is a level 80 rare spawn in The Storm Peaks and the original "rare spawn of a rare spawn" — the mechanic that later inspired Aeonaxx. Its rarity comes entirely from the spawn system, not the fight, which any character can solo in seconds.

• Guaranteed Drop — Once killed, TLPD drops the Reins at 100%, plus a bind-on-equip necklace and an Abandoned Adventurer's Satchel

• Shared Spawn with Vyragosa — TLPD and Vyragosa can never be up at once; Vyragosa spawns roughly 80–90% of the time, so you'll see her constantly while waiting for the drake

• 2–8 Hour Timer — After either dies, neither respawns for at least ~6 hours, then within an 8-hour window — killing Vyragosa fast keeps the cycle moving toward a TLPD roll

• Four Spawn Points — Frozen Lake, Brunn Village, Waterfall, and Ulduar Ravine — each with its own flight path, impossible to watch all four solo

• First Tag Wins — Only the first player or group to engage is eligible; our team uses no-damage tagging tricks to lock the tag cleanly against competition
