Every Bountiful Chest in a Tier 11 Delve or the Labyrinth of Kindo'jan lets you convert one Restored Coffer Key into one Ascendant Venomstone. Simple exchange, one for one.
You'll see this described as "unlimited conversions in Season 2," because the Labyrinth of Kindo'jan can be run as many times as you like. That framing is wrong in a way that costs you planning time.
The chests are unlimited. Your keys are not.
You cannot convert more Venomstones in a week than you have Restored Coffer Keys, and keys are hard-capped by your weekly Coffer Key Shard income. So the real number isn't unlimited — it's your key supply, and for most players that's 8 per week, with a condition on the last two that most coverage leaves out.
Here's the actual arithmetic, and the one change in habits it should produce.
Your Real Weekly Ceiling
Your Venomstone conversions per week equal your Restored Coffer Keys per week. Nothing else constrains it.
Source | Keys | Condition |
|---|
Coffer Key Shards | 6 | The weekly shard cap is 600, which is 6 keys at baseline |
Naleidea Rivergleam | +2 | Requires Delver's Journey Rank 6 |
Weekly total | 8 | At Rank 6 or above |
The Rank 6 condition matters and it gets dropped constantly. Buying 2 extra Restored Coffer Keys per week from Naleidea Rivergleam is a Delver's Journey Rank 6 unlock. If you're below Rank 6, your ceiling is 6 keys, not 8 — and no amount of Labyrinth running changes that.
Check your Delver's Journey rank before you plan around 8. Our Delves Season 2 guide covers the full rank unlock track.
The "By Default" Caveat
The 600-shard cap gives 6 keys at baseline. That baseline isn't fixed — Delver's Journey Rank 10 permanently increases your Coffer Key Shard income from all sources. If you're at Rank 10, you're earning above the 6-key baseline and your real ceiling is higher than 8.
So the honest version is a range rather than a number:
The Habit You Should Change
Here's what the unlimited-chests change actually does for you, and it's not "convert more."
Old Season 1 behaviour: log in daily, run your Bountiful Delves, because Venomstone conversions were limited per day. Miss a day, lose conversions.
Season 2 reality: chests are no longer scarce. The Labyrinth of Kindo'jan can be run as often as you want, and a full clear awards 3 Bountiful Chests.
Do the maths on that:
3 chests per Labyrinth clear × 3 clears = 9 chests.
Your weekly key supply is 8.
Three Labyrinth clears consume your entire weekly key allowance.
That means you no longer need to log in daily to spend your conversions. One Labyrinth session — three clears — empties your keys for the week. If your schedule is irregular, this is a straightforward improvement: bank your keys, do one session whenever it suits you, done.
For comparison, the Bountiful Delve route caps at 4 per day, so 4 conversions daily. That's more than enough chest capacity too — but it requires showing up every day to use it, for no additional Venomstones. The Labyrinth is strictly more convenient for the same result.
Use Bountiful Delves if you want the Delve's own rewards and Delver's Journey progress alongside the conversion. Use the Labyrinth if you only want the Venomstones and would rather do it in one sitting.
The Dundun Trap

Once a week, if you find Dundun inside a Delve, he makes it Abundant and grants an extra Bountiful Chest — which converts one more key.
Under Season 2 rules, that extra chest adds nothing to your Venomstone total.
The reason is the same one as above: chests aren't your constraint. An extra chest only matters if you have an unspent key, and if you have an unspent key you could have spent it in the Labyrinth anyway. Dundun's chest moves a conversion from one place to another; it doesn't create one.
Dundun is still worth finding — an Abundant Delve has its own improved rewards, and that's the reason to look for him. Just don't treat him as a Venomstone source, because he isn't one any more.
Finding him: the community method is a targeting macro.
/target dundun
/ping assist
Run that as you move through a Delve and it'll pick him up when he's in range, then ping his location for your group.
Where Venomstones Come From, in Full

Keeping the sources straight:
Source | Chest Availability | Key Cost |
|---|
Tier 11 Bountiful Delves | 4 per day | 1 key per chest |
Labyrinth of Kindo'jan | Unlimited runs, 3 chests per full clear | 1 key per chest |
Dundun's Abundant Delve | 1 extra chest, once weekly | 1 key per chest |
All three are the same exchange. The only difference is how convenient the chest is to reach and what else you get from the run.
What Venomstones Are Actually For
Ascendant Venomstones push gear past the normal Myth ceiling, which is why the weekly cap matters so much — this is the slowest-accumulating upgrade currency in the season and there's no way to catch up on a missed week.
The full picture of how Venomstones interact with bonus rolls, Nebulous Voidcores and the Great Vault is in our bonus rolls and Ascendant Venomstones guide — including the detail that catches most people out: the eight-week Voidcore research timer starts when you complete Prismatic Potential, not when the season started. If you haven't done that questline, do it today, because the clock doesn't run until you do.
The Weekly Routine
Check your Delver's Journey rank. Below 6, you have 6 keys a week. At 6 or above, buy your 2 extra keys from Naleidea Rivergleam every reset — they don't carry over.
Bank your keys rather than spending them as they arrive. There's no advantage to converting early in the week.
Run the Labyrinth of Kindo'jan three times in one session. That's 9 chests against your 8 keys — comfortable margin, one sitting.
Or run Bountiful Delves if you want the Delve rewards and Journey progress too. 4 per day, so spread it across two days minimum.
Look for Dundun for the Abundant Delve's rewards — not for the conversion.
FAQ
What's the conversion rate? One Restored Coffer Key to one Ascendant Venomstone, per Bountiful Chest. Every chest in a Tier 11 Delve or the Labyrinth of Kindo'jan offers the exchange.
Are conversions really unlimited in Season 2? The chests are. The keys aren't. You can open as many Bountiful Chests as you like in the Labyrinth, but each conversion consumes a Restored Coffer Key, and keys are capped weekly — 6 at baseline, 8 at Delver's Journey Rank 6 or above.
How many Venomstones can I get per week? As many as you have keys. Six below Rank 6, eight at Rank 6 to 9, and more than eight at Rank 10 because that rank permanently raises your Coffer Key Shard income.
Where do I buy extra Coffer Keys? Naleidea Rivergleam sells 2 per week — but only once you reach Delver's Journey Rank 6. Below that rank the option isn't available to you.
What's the fastest way to spend my keys? Three full clears of the Labyrinth of Kindo'jan. Each clear gives 3 Bountiful Chests, so three clears covers 9 chests against a weekly supply of 8 keys. One session, done for the week.
Do I still need to do Bountiful Delves daily? Not for Venomstones. The daily limit of 4 Bountiful Delves was the constraint in Season 1; in Season 2 the Labyrinth removes it. Run Bountiful Delves for the Delve rewards and Delver's Journey progress, not because you'd otherwise lose conversions.
Is Dundun worth finding? Yes, for the Abundant Delve's own improved rewards. No, as a Venomstone source — his extra chest doesn't raise your weekly total, because chests aren't what limits you.
Do unspent keys carry over between weeks? Shards accumulate toward keys, but Naleidea's purchasable keys are a weekly offer — buy them each reset. Spend what you have rather than assuming a stockpile will be available later.
The Short Version
One key, one Venomstone, one chest. Your ceiling is your key supply, not the number of chests you can reach — 6 keys a week at baseline, 8 at Delver's Journey Rank 6, higher at Rank 10.
Three clears of the Labyrinth of Kindo'jan empties your weekly keys in a single session, so the daily Bountiful Delve routine is no longer required for conversions. Buy Naleidea's 2 keys every reset if you're Rank 6 or above. And find Dundun for the Abundant Delve rewards, not for an extra Venomstone you can't actually bank.
