Leveling in Aion 2 Global is fast compared to most MMORPGs, but it is easy to slow yourself down without noticing. Long detours for small rewards, grinding mobs instead of questing and spending resources on gear you will replace an hour later all add up.
In this guide, the Mythic Store team walks you through the fastest route from level 1 to the level 45 cap: which quests to follow, what to unlock along the way, how Ascension works and what to do the moment you hit 45 so your character is ready for endgame.
Leveling Quick Overview
Level cap: 45 in Global Season 1.
Main XP source: the main story campaign (yellow quests). Grinding regular mobs is far less efficient.
Optional quests: take the green and side quests that sit on or near your route, skip the ones that send you across the map.
Points: spend skill points, Stigma points and Daevanion points as soon as you get them.
Gear: equip upgrades immediately, but avoid heavy investment in gear you are about to replace.
Odyle Energy: save it for level 45 Conquest content instead of spending it on Exploration cubes.
How Long Does It Take to Reach Level 45?

Estimates vary a lot depending on how you play. Players following an optimized route and skipping cutscenes report reaching 45 in a handful of hours, while a relaxed first playthrough with exploration, side content and full story can take well over ten. Most players land somewhere in between.
The good news is that the route is the same either way. The faster you stay on the main campaign and the fewer detours you take, the closer you get to the low end of that range.
Quest Types Explained
Aion 2 marks its quests by color, and knowing which ones matter is half of efficient leveling.
Yellow (main story) quests: your main source of XP and the backbone of the route. They also unlock most of the game's systems, from Expeditions to the Abyss.
Green (optional) quests: smaller quests in each zone. They are worth doing when they are close to your path, because they count toward Ascension progress and can reward accessories.
Sealed Dungeons: short solo instances marked on the map. They give Daevanion resources and enhancement materials and also count toward Ascension.
Strongholds: open-world forts with one-time permanent rewards that also feed Ascension.
As a rule, if an optional activity takes you more than a few minutes off your route for one small reward, skip it for now and come back after 45.
Leveling Route by Stage
Levels 1–20: Learn the Basics
Follow the yellow quests in your faction's starting area. This stage teaches you your class, skill chains and the Daevanion board.
Spend skill points as they come in, focusing on your class's core damage skills.
Equip every gear upgrade quests hand you.
Pick up green quests only when they are in the same area as your current objective.
Do not stop to grind mobs. The campaign gives far more XP for the same time.
Levels 20–30: First Dungeons and Stigmas
Around level 20 the story introduces your first Expedition, Krao Cave, in its Exploration difficulty. Odyle Energy recovery also starts around this point.
Your first Stigma slot opens at level 22, followed by the second at level 27. Equip a Stigma as soon as a slot opens and start leveling your most important one with Stigma Shards.
Clear Krao Cave Exploration as part of the story, but consider skipping the reward cube to save Odyle Energy for later.
Clear Sealed Dungeons you pass along the way.
Keep following yellow quests between dungeons.
Levels 30–45: Ascension and the Push to Cap
The later campaign introduces more Expeditions, such as Urugugu Canyon and Fire Temple in Exploration difficulty, along with your remaining Stigma slots at levels 32 and 37.
This is also where Ascension appears. At certain points the story pauses until you fill an Ascension gauge by completing activities in the world. Green quests, Sealed Dungeons and Strongholds all count toward it. Once the gauge is full, finish the Ascension quest and the main campaign continues.
Fill Ascension gauges with the activities closest to you rather than searching for specific ones.
Prioritize accessory rewards from green quests. Accessories matter more than most leveling gear because they stay relevant into early endgame.
Some required Sealed Dungeons and Strongholds sit on the opposing faction's map. The campaign gives you access through a Spacetime Rift, which has a limited time window, so plan what you want to clear before you go through.
